Delivery times vary according to a number of factors, such as the difficulty of the text, the length and subject of the document. If you have an urgent job, please email me the document and I will give you a turnaround time and a free estimate for the job.
The text to be translated may be provided by e-mail, fax, disk or post. Alternatively, you may attach your document using the Free Quote form.
The translated text will usually be delivered by e-mail. However, delivery by fax, disk or hard copy can also be arranged.
Prices are calculated on an individual basis, and are agreed on prior to starting work on a document. Most translations are priced at the standard rate although extra charges may be applied for urgency, extreme technicality, legibility and formatting. You may request a free quote here. CONTRACTING:Documents that are more than 1,000 words (four pages) in length require a short letter of agreement between the translator and the client. The letter of agreement shall outline the following: estimated word count in the original or target language; date, time and method of delivery; deadline; rate; estimated total amount due; method of payment; date upon which payment shall be made.
When a document is less than 1,000 words (four pages) in length, e-mail correspondence shall serve as sufficient written documentation in lieu of the letter of agreement.
Translation services: Billing shall be based on the actual word count in the target language unless agreed otherwise.
Editing and interpreting services: billing shall be based on an hourly rate.
An invoice is sent to the client immediately after each project is completed. Payment in full shall be effected not later than thirty (30) days from the date of invoice. Any balance which remains outstanding after thirty (30) days shall incur a late charge of 8% per annum over base rate until the balance is paid in full.
Payments should be made to Debora Ferrari Haines, and shall be in the currency agreed upon between the client and the translator.
